  The Rally Japan shakedown to help the crews prepare for the event took place on the super special, which will be covered no fewer than eight times during the rally.   Le shakedown du Rallye du Japon a permis aux équipages de préparer le Rallye du Japon sur le parcours de la super-spéciale qui sera parcourue à huit reprises durant l’épreuve. Sébastien Loeb réalise le deuxième temps devant Dani Sordo et Sébastien Ogier. Kimi Räikkönen, malgré une petite sortie, se classe au septième rang.
