    Third podium finish in three rallies for Khalid Al-Qassimi

    After finishing as runners-up in Qatar and Kuwait, Khalid Al-Qassimi and Scott Martin (Citroën DS3 RRC) took third overall in the Jordan Rally, which concluded the first half of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship. The Abu Dhabi Citroën Total World Rally Team also won the ‘two-wheel drive’ category thanks to the efforts of Mohammed Al-Mutawaa and Stephen McCauley.

    The FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) will reach the half-way point of the season after Rally Jordan, contested on the banks of the Dead Sea. Runner-up in Qatar and Kuwait, Khalid Al-Qassimi and Scott Martin will be determined to keep improving in the DS3 RRC of the Abu Dhabi Citroën World Rally Team.

    Khalid Al Qassimi and Scott Martin (Citroën DS3 RRC) produced an error-free performance to finish runners-up at the Kuwait International Rally. The Abu Dhabi Citroën World Rally Team crew remain second overall in the Middle East Rally Championship standings.

    Following the opening round held in Qatar, the Middle East Rally Championship moves on to Kuwait this coming weekend. Competing in the Abu Dhabi Citroën World Rally Team’s Citroën DS3 RRC, Khalid Al-Qassimi and Scott Martin will be aiming for another good result as they go after the continental title.

    Podium finish for Khalid Al Qassimi and the DS3 RRC

    The first round of this year’s Middle East Rally Championship, the Qatar International Rally, served up some highly competitive racing at all levels. Khalid Al Qassimi and his co-driver Scott Martin finished as runners-up in their DS3 RRC whilst junior driver Mohammed Al Sahlawi, alongside co-driver Allan Harryman, won the two-wheel drive category.

    Citroën Racing and the DS3 RRC take on the Middle East

    Citroën Racing and the DS3 RRC will make their competitive debut in the Middle East this weekend at the Qatar Rally, the first round of the Middle East Rally Championship (MERC). Entered by the Abu Dhabi Citroën Total World Rally Team and driven by Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi and Scott Martin, the DS3 RRC will begin two days of racing on Friday morning, featuring over 260 kilometres of timed stages around Doha.
