A few weeks after having competed in two rallies in a C4 WRC, Robert Kubica has decided to pursue his rally driving career in a Citroën DS3 RRC. The Pole’s 2013 programme will get underway at the Rally Islas Canarias – the third round of the FIA European Rally Championship – before he begins his campaign in the WRC2 at Rally de Portugal.
After an intense three-day selection procedure, Citroën and Abu Dhabi have chosen the talented young drivers who will take part in next season’s Middle East Rally Championship in two Citroën DS3 R3s.
Following on from the announcement at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the title partnership agreed between Citroën Racing and Abu Dhabi now takes real shape with the presentation of the racing programmes for the 2013 season.

Having driven for the Brand between 2005 and 2010, Dani Sordo has spent the majority of his WRC career with Citroën Racing. Alongside co-driver Carlos del Barrio, the 29 year-old Spaniard is set to rejoin the Citroën Total World Rally Team to compete in the 2013 World Rally Championship.

Faithfully derived from the DS3 WRC, the double World Rally Championship-winning car*, this version has been designed for private drivers and is suitable for use in a wide variety of competitions (WRC-2, ERC, MERC, etc.).
Citroën Racing has outlined plans for its future involvement in motorsport in an announcement at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Philippe Bugalski, the first driver to win a World Championship rally overall in a Citroën, passed away on 10 August 2012 at the age of 49.
