The Millenium Stadium was built to replace the aging Arms Park, and it had the biggest extendable roof in Europe on its inauguration in 1999. It can hold 73 734 spectators and it cost 145 million euros. Today, it hosts the national Welsh rugby and football team matches, as well as many other events.
