Citroën DS3 WRC n°17

Van Merksteijn Motorsport has been competing with Citroën Racing Technologies since the start of the 2011 season, and is continuing its involvement in the 2012 World Rally Championship with the DS3 WRC.

Peter van Merksteijn Jr began his career in 2006. The following year he won the Dutch Group N title and took part in his first world championship rally in Germany. In 2011, he competed in ten rallies with the Citroën DS3 WRC and scored his first points in the German event.

 

Peter van Merksteijn Sr made his racing debut in 1985. Since then he has competed in rallies and circuit events, as much in the WRC as in the Dakar and the Le Mans 24 Hours. In 2008, he won the LM P2 category in the Sarthe classic. This season he will again drive a DS3 WRC entered by Van Merksteijn Motorsport with technical backup supplied by Citroën Racing Technologies.
