Sébastien Loeb is the most-titled driver in the history of rallying. He holds the records for the highest number of world titles, number of consecutive victories, victories in a season and podiums on the trot.

Loeb has had a stunning rise to fame. He came from the Citroën nursery, and won the French Gravel Rally Championship in a Saxo Kit-Car in the 2-wheel drive category, which led to him becoming a member of the Citroën factory team at the end of 2000.

He achieved the aims set for him each year (French Rally Champion in the Xsara Kit-Car, and Super 1600 World Champion in a Saxo S1600). His first works drive was in the 2001 Sanremo Rally in a Xsara WRC in which he finished second after a mind-boggling performance that put him firmly among the greats of the sport.

Since then the driver from Alsace has played his part in the rise of the team in the WRC by securing its first manufacturers’ title in 2003. Loeb went on to win eight consecutive drivers’ crowns between 2004 and 2011.

Sébastien loves driving and has met with success on the circuits, finishing second overall in the 2006 Le Mans 24 Hours. In the end-of-year awards he is always elected one of France’s favourite sportsmen due to his talent and his natural simplicity.
