The 80th Rallye Monte-Carlo drew to a close today with victory going to Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena, their sixth win in the Principality. The eight-time World Champions enjoyed a clean sweep as they also picked up the three bonus points awarded to the winner of the Power Stage.
Disputed in the hills above Monaco, the penultimate day of the Rallye Monte Carlo saw no change at the top of the overall standings.
The first loop run in the countryside around Nice had no significant impact on the standings of the 80th Rallye Monte-Carlo. Sébastien Loeb continued to hold a healthy lead at the front, while Mikko Hirvonen kept up the pressure on Petter Solberg.
The third day of the Rallye Monte-Carlo took the competitors from Valence to Monaco. In the Vercors, Citroën Total World Rally Team’s DS3 WRCs produced some genuinely stunning performances, thanks to an inspired tyre choice.
